P2X: The Compact UAV for Research, Testing, and Autonomous Navigation
The P2X drone is a platform designed for research activities and for the development, testing, and validation of autonomous guidance and navigation algorithms.
In indoor environments, compatibility with motion capture systems, such as Vicon, enables the use of highly accurate positioning data to localize the drone in enclosed spaces, where GNSS signals are unavailable or not sufficiently reliable. P2X therefore allows research, experimentation, and validation activities to be carried out under controlled and repeatable conditions.
The platform is particularly suitable for the development of swarm intelligence approaches, coordination strategies among multiple drones, and navigation algorithms for integrated robotic systems, including heterogeneous architectures such as cooperative UAV–UGV systems.
Compact and versatile, P2X represents a flexible tool for universities, research centers, and development teams seeking to explore new solutions in the field of autonomous and collaborative robotics.
