START2: MAVTech Drones at the Service of Research and Alpine Rescue
MAVTech Drones and Lifeseeker: Innovation at the Service of Safety
The START2 project aims to develop the use of drones in rescue operations in extreme environments, through an interregional Living Lab. The project allows alpine rescuers to actively participate in the innovation process, contributing with their specific needs and engaging as direct users in the testing activities.
What is Lifeseeker?
Lifeseeker is a device developed by Centum, designed to support the search for missing persons. This tool enables the location of mobile phones, even in difficult conditions, significantly improving the speed and effectiveness of rescue operations.
Our Contribution to Alpine Rescue
On November 26th, in Bolzano, a training day was held for the pilots of the Soccorso Alpino Alto Adige · Bergrettung Südtirol – CNSAS. The meeting focused on the use of the Q4X drone, integrated with the Lifeseeker device. In collaboration with Centum, MAVTech provided technical support for the integration of the device and ensured comprehensive training for rescuers to optimize the use of the system in real-world search scenarios.
